Project Overview
GradeMind is a specialized Learning Management System (LMS) comparable to Google Classroom, but with a specific focus on automating the essay grading process. In this group project, teachers can easily invite students to classes and create essay assignments. The core innovation lies in its use of AI to automatically grade these submissions using rubric scoring and context understanding, significantly reducing the administrative burden on educators.
Role & Contribution
As the Lead Fullstack Developer, I oversaw the development of the application using a robust tech stack including Next.js for the frontend and FastAPI for the backend. The system integrates local AI hosting using Ollama to process and grade essays securely and efficiently.
Recognition
GradeMind was featured in "Senopati ITS," an official university showcase highlighting outstanding student projects. The application demonstrates the practical application of AI in education, providing a modern solution for essay assessment.
